A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained volunteer,
appointed by a judge to advocate for an abused or neglected child.
CASA volunteers provide an independent assessment of the child's
circumstances for the judge. For many children, their CASA is the
only
friendly face they see as they move through the legal and social
services bureaucracies

When a young person is incarcerated the entire family is affected.
Re-building and maintaining positive relationships is critical. However,
the expense of traveling to a correctional facility prevents some families
from visiting their children. Transportation Motivating Change (TMC)
provides transportation to juvenile correctional facilities to help families
repair broken relationships.
