Maintaining family bonds is the ultimate goal of Transportation for Motivating Change (TMC).  Several times a month, Friends of the Portsmouth Juvenile Court transport family members to visit their child or sibling who’s in a Virginia juvenile correctional center.  Currently, transportation is provided to the following facilities:  Beaumont, Bon Air, Culpeper, Hanover, Oakridge and RDC.  These Sunday trips, lead by a volunteer driver, allow most families their only opportunity to visit.  TMC is a free service for Portsmouth families.
